Arrive at Nedumbassery International Airport in Kochi and transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon city tour , begin with a visit to the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday & Saturday) built in 1568. Scrolls of the Old Testament and a number of copper plates inscribed in Hebrew script are preserved here. The building was destroyed by the Portuguese in 1662 and rebuilt by the Dutch two years later. Continue you visit to St. Francis Church, the oldest church constructed by the Europeans in India. Built by the Portuguese in 1510, it housed the remains of Vasco da Gama for 14 years before it was transferred to Lisbon. His tombstone can be seen inside the church. Also visit the Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1555. The Palace was presented to the Raja of Kochias a gesture of goodwill. This was also known as the Dutch Palace (closed on Friday), resulting from substantial renovation by the Dutch after 1663. The central hall was the Coronation Hall of the Rajas. Their dresses, turbans and palanquins and murals from Hindu mythology are all beautiful and worth seeing. Culminate the tour at Fort Kochi, which is said to be the oldest European settlement in India.

Post breakfast drive to Munnar.One of the Most popular hill stations in India,Munnar is situated at the confluence of three Mountain streams-Mudrapuhza,Nallathanni and Kundala.Rest of the day at leisure.

Tea Museum
Munnar has a legacy of its own when it comes to the origins and evolution of tea plantations. Taking account of this legacy and to preserve and showcase some of the exquisite and interesting aspects on the genesis and growth of tea plantations in Kerala's high ranges, a museum exclusively for tea was opened some years ago by Tata Tea in Munnar. This Tea Museum houses curios, photographs and machineries; all of which have a story to tell on the origins and growth of tea plantations in Munnar. The museum is located at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar and is worth a visit. (Note: it closed on Mondays)
Top Station
Top Station, which is about 32 km from Munnar is at a height of 1700 m above sea level. It is the highest point on the Munnar-Kodaikanal road. Travellers to Munnar make it a point to visit Top Station to enjoy the panoramic view it offers of the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the spots in Munnar to enjoy the Neelakurinji flowers blooming over a vast area.
Mattupetty Dam
The Mattupetty lake and dam, just a short distance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot.The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity. DTPC Idukki provides boating facilities on the Mattupetty Dam.Speed launch and motorboats are available on hire.
Kundala Lake
Kundala is a picturesque town on the way to Top Stations. The Kundala artificial dam is another attraction.Aruvikkad waterfalls is also near Kundala.
Echo Point
This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Echo Point is on the way to Top Stations from Munnar.
After breakfast drive to Periyar National Park. This unique wildlife sanctuary is about 780 sq. km centered around an artificial lake fed by the Periyar River.
Afternoon proceed for boat ride on the Lake Periyar, where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake.

On return half an hour spice plantation tour: Stroll amid lush, terraced farms, sprawling tea estates while listening to bird songs and the murmuring of mountain streams. The spice plantation tours in Periyar are famous for the cardamom plantations. The cardamom of Periyar is of the finest quality and is exported around the world.
Later enjoy Half an hour Elephant ride
The Indian elephant is the state animal of Kerala. Periyar Tiger Reserve has thousands of elephants, but in Kerala elephants are also found in temples and as working elephants. Additionally, in the Periyar area there is Elephant Junction; a project that has the purpose of providing tourists with information about elephants and a chance to experience various close encounters with elephants. This is done in a responsible way. This programme offers one a rare opportunity to experience the safari on an elephant through a spice plantation where the gentle breeze refreshes one with the spice-scented air. A 30 minute elephant safari through coffee, cardamom and pepper plantations.

After the breakfast leave for Kumarakom by surface. On arrival check-in at hotel.
Kumarakom is a breezy backwater fishing village on the shores of the Vemanad backwaters which is spread over four districts of central Kerala. A clear reflection of the term “God own country” is what Kumarakom is all about. The country side ambience and the closeness to the nature bodies make it a place away from the busy world. This farming village has very fertile land and is a center of farming and livestock. Even though Kumarakom is an artificial extension of land to the backwaters, no one would feel it that way. The combination of canals streams and bunds make it ideal local man fishing.

Morning check-out from the hotel and board a houseboat. Cruise towards Alleppey, the backwaters cruise takes off through a network of canals with a back drop of villages and coconut trees on the shores.
